Substitute Packet
Leave your sub with effective, easy to use activities while your absent.
Accidental Inventions is a great video that talks about 10 common products and how they were invented by chance.

You recieve a binder that includes a script, worksheet and quiz. Along with the video. The sub will actually read from the script that also includes directions and discussion points.  There is a worksheet question every 9 minutes that the sub will lead a discussion and help the students answer the question correctly.  At the end of the video there is a quiz.

Copy the worksheets and quizzes.  Store those in the binder when you have to be gone on short notice just leave the binder on the your desk and the sub will do the rest.

There is no "substitute" for peace of mind!

The Wright Stuff
The second sub pack is complete and ready to ship.  This title is "The Wright Stuff; The Life and Times of Orville and Wilbur Wright"  its a very interesting story of how the two brothers experimented, had failures and successes and ultimatly gave us one of the greatest gifts the world has ever known.

I followed the same format as "Accidental Inventions" because of its proven success.  Its ready for your students on that day when you  can't be there.

Remember, there is no "substitute" for peace of mind!

  Who Killed the Electric Car?
This video tells the story of the electric car made by General Motors, the EV1.

The same format leads the sub and the students through the video.

Warning: There is an explitive in one scene in the movie.  A reporter says the word "s**t" during his interview.  While this may not be possible to use in some schools, this is a powerful video with lots of timely information.
