Welcome to

Our First Module
Introduction to Computer
Assembly.
This module is suitable for 6th,7th
or 8th grade. It's been used with
7th grade for 5 years in my
classroom.
There is not another module like
this one anywhere.

Career Clusters
There for a minute I thought we
had lost our identity but maybe
we're coming back.
Career clusters are something we
can hang our hat on.  Yea, we
teach engineering (and always
have) our name change doesn't
mean that much.  The reality is
Tech Ed in its truest form is still
highly valuable.  Students need to
see all 16 (now reduced to 12)
clusters and explore careers.  Not
one career like the engineer drum
beaters are saying.  Maybe it just
sour grapes on my part because I
could never have been an engineer,
I couldn't (or wouldn't) have done
all that math! Stay true to Tech Ed!

Goals,Thoughts and Opinions
* The number one goal of this company is "to build the
very best modules that work for the teacher and the
student.
* This website is simple and straight to the point, and
hopefully easy to use.
*These modules are developed and tested in the
classroom.
*Tested over time, some students are gifted, some
average and some on IEP's and all from public school.
*Support for the module you buy, replace one little part
or maybe something doesn't work right, we want to
give you "service after the sale"
*Out of the mouths of babes; One student says to
another
"the book makes it harder than it really is"  talking about
trying to complete an assignment by only looking at the
pictures.

Precision Machine
     Module Update
I believe that the best modules are
those that are good hands on activities
that have multiple layers of learning..
The Precision Machine Module
featuring the Sherline 4000 Lathe is
just such a module.

The Sherline Lathe is tough enough to
withstand the classroom environment
and the curriculum is video based so
the students have something to look
and listen to in order to make their
module sucessful.

I've had great success with this module
in my classroom and hope that you will
give it a try!

     Substitute Packets
A sub packet is a binder that contains, a
DVD, worksheet, Quiz and a script for
the sub to read from.  Just copy the
worksheet and quiz and leave it laying
on your desk or handy on a shelf and its
ready for that day when you just can't
be there.

How Much, How Far?
My new focus is this,
now that I have 3
modules completed
my focus has turned
to making those
modules "stronger".
The challenge is this,
how much can be
taught in the allotted
amount of time.  We
are giving them 16
experiences, (clusters)
so how much of each
subject can we cram
in?

Watch for our 2 new
modules CNC Mill
featuring a Sherline Mill
in the Manufacturing
Cluster and a small engine
module for the
Transportation Cluster.
Both will be student and
teacher friendly.
